On a biweekly basis, we present a top-ten list of our favorite contributions to the galleries, which feature everything from residential and green projects to architects’ drawings and architectural photography.

When submitting images, please note that this showcase is reserved for BUILT WORK. If you have renderings or drawings for an unbuilt project, please submit them to either the Architect’s Hand Showcase or the Computer-Aided Rendering Showcase.

Design professionals who have created highly sustainable building projects have been asked to submit examples of their work, and the editors of GreenSource, RECORD’s sister publication, have selected some of these for display.

Students studying architecture at the undergraduate and graduate level have been asked to submit examples of their design work, and the editors of RECORD have selected the best creations to display in this showcase gallery.

When submitting work, please include the name of your school in the description, as well as whether you are in an undergraduate or graduate program.

Whether they are intriguing accidents or outsider art, structures created without the help of a professional designer can be remarkable or even inspired. RECORD has invited photographers and architects to submit images of their favorite Vernacular Architecture—from the magnificent to the misguided—to this gallery. Please include the location and designer’s name (if known) with all submissions.

Architects who are as adept with a pen, pencil or paintbrush as they are with CAD have been asked to submit examples of their work, and the editors of RECORD have selected some of these for display in this showcase gallery. In the photo caption, provide as much descriptive detail as you can about the artwork: the medium, what the image is of, when it was created, the inspiration behind it, etc.

Architects who have designed an exceptional commercial or institutional building (office, retail, school, etc.) in a city or town with fewer than 250,000 inhabitants have been asked to submit examples of their work, and the editors of RECORD have selected some of these for display in this gallery.
